A mystic seeks spiritual union with God through deep prayer or meditation. Pious means devout, but not necessarily seeking mystical experiences. Saint refers to a holy person recognized by a religion. Honorary means given as an honor, not related to spiritual practice.

An imposter is someone who pretends to be someone else. Treacherous refers to being deceitful, but not necessarily pretending to be someone else. Sinister means something evil or harmful, and ephemeral means short-lived, not related to pretending.

Frag refers to the act of killing a fellow soldier, especially in a military context, typically with a grenade. Murder is unlawful killing in general, vaticide refers to killing a prophet, and slaughter is mass killing, not necessarily fellow soldiers.

An iconoclast is someone who rejects or destroys religious images or traditions. Imposter refers to someone who pretends to be something they’re not. Apostle refers to a messenger or disciple, and Invincible means unbeatable, not related to breaking images.

An exiled person is someone forced to leave their own country, typically for political or punitive reasons. Deport means to expel someone from a country but doesn’t always imply banishment. Deviate means to stray from a path, not banishment. Desert means to abandon, not specifically banishment.

Extermination is the complete destruction of a group, usually animals. Casualty is an injury or death, ostracize means to exclude, and an expellee is someone forced to leave.

(Extermination generally applies to animals. You call an exterminator. Genocide refers to the slaughter of humans by other humans.)

An ambassador represents a country abroad. A secretary is an assistant, an antiquarian studies antiques, and prostate is a body part.

A mayor is the head of a town's government. Premier is for provincial leaders, commander is military, and emperor is for empires.

Democracy involves elected representatives. Oligarchy is rule by a small group, monarchy is rule by a monarch, and autocracy is rule by one person.

Influx refers to a large arrival. Gathering is any meeting, drover is someone moving livestock, and a settler is someone who moves to a new area permanently.
